One of the education access initiatives we’re proud of at Age of Learning is ABCmouse for Libraries. Since 2014, ABCmouse for Libraries has offered our award-winning ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy to families at public libraries at no cost. And we’re happy to report that lots of families have taken advantage of it. ABCmouse for Libraries has been used by more than 6,000 public library branches—over 40% of all branches in the U.S—and children used ABCmouse more than one million times at libraries in 2016 alone.
To extend the benefits of ABCmouse for Libraries to families at home, last year we launched a nationwide program called Bring Learning Home, which brings together public libraries, funders, and in-kind contributions from Age of Learning to make ABCmouse available to families who may not otherwise have access to high-quality learning resources in their homes.
Just this week we were thrilled to announce that Southern California Edison (SCE) has generously invested in Bring Learning Home to provide Los Angeles-area families with free home checkout access to ABCmouse through the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
